Due to a worldwide chip shortage, gamers should expect a tougher time locating newer model game consoles this holiday season. The Playstation 5, along with the Xbox series X will be scarce at most retailers, and they are using special promotions in order to give preferential buying privileges to those who sign up. Scalper bots are also becoming an issue, as many are scooping up purchases and reselling them at a higher price. Analysts predict the supply chain issue will go on further, even into 2023.
