Local eccentric Kanye West and business mogul Damon Dash have teamed up to launch one of the strangest acquisitions in the history of fashion by confirming the purchase of streetwear giant Karmaloop this past March. Karmaloop is a global apparel and culture website dedicated to the streetwear scene and underground music and art in general. The company recently hit a rough patch, thus drawing the likes of both West and Dash for backing and support. Founder Greg Selkoe plans to stay as CEO while the duo would come in as partners in the company.
Dash uploaded two videos of himself and Kanye, stating, “You know, honorable people stick together, so this is how the generations do. Now you super famous (pointing to West) and we linking up and we decided to go buy Karmaloop. We just talked about it, so it’s gonna happen, and a couple other cool things.”
